The thesis I submitted as part of my Honours degree in Psychology was on the link between negative cognition and health – essentially how our thoughts can make us sick. I have always been fascinated by the mind-body connection and understanding how it is that we can learn to thrive in an expansive life.

It wasn’t until later in life, after a lot more life experience (with all the turbulence included) that I found hypnotherapy. And the moment I did, I knew it was FOR me. And who doesn’t leave a 6-figure corporate 9 to 5 to become a Clinical Hypnotherapist business owner?!

Your appointment will be conducted via an online video call. 
Online hypnotherapy is as effective and beneficial as in-person therapy, and sometimes even more so because you will be more relaxed in your own space, don’t need to drive anywhere., and ultimately more relaxed.

Although there is no homework or things to specifically do after your appointment, a lot of therapy happens in the days and weeks following your hypnotherapy. Your mind needs processing time. The best thing you can do after an appointment is have a nap, or take a walk – nothing that requires focused attention.

This therapy utilises the best approaches from multiple modalities. You are unique, and so too is the therapy you receive. And no two appointments are the same because they are tailored to exactly what your goals are in that moment.

Appointments are conducted via video. You will need a laptop, tablet or mobile with video, a stable internet connection, and a quite, safe space. Perhaps a set of headphones too if your sound isn’t that loud. And your lovely, curious mind. That’s it! 

This specialised form of hypnotherapy is so effective because it helps you to process the emotions out of significant events and circumstances in your life. This has a generalising effect on multiple other memories and events. So dealing with a specific problem will positively impact more than just that one problem.

Some medications (specifically antipsychotics) alter brain chemistry and will impact your ability to get expected results from hypnotherapy. If you are on any medication or under the care of a mental health practitioner, you will be asked for details when booking.

YES!! Too many people think that hypnotherapy is only an option when you are at your wit’s end. Hypnotherapy is the perfect modality to help you amplify positive habits, unleash extra motivation, and give you extra clarity and purpose. Hypnotherapy is amazing for personal development.

Appointments are not covered by Medicare or private health insurance.

Results vary with each client. Change can however happen very quickly. You will probably notice shifts during your first appointment, with further changes unfolding over time.

No referral is necessary. If, however, you are under the care of a mental health practitioner, you will need their approval for hypnotherapy. Ask for more details when you book.
